Is something amazing baking in the oven? Nope! That’s the unmistakably warm, spicy scent of Clove Bud Essential Oil. This flower bud of the evergreen tree, Syzygium aromaticum, is known for its high eugenol content and is a staple in many germ-fighting oil blends.
*Do NOT use topically on children under 2 years old. Max dermal dilution is 0.5%.
*Robert Tisserand, writes in his book Essential Oil Safety, that oils high in eugenol should be used with caution on those with impaired liver function.
